1995 Maxwell’s Silver Hammer – The Beatles (1969)

Maxwell’s Silver Hammer was written by Paul McCartney but is credited to Lennon-McCartney. It was written in 1968 and was first played during the Let It Be sessions in 1969. Rehearsals of the song were used in The Beatles’ 1970 movie Let It Be. The song was recorded by The Beatles in 1969. It was recorded at EMI Studios and was produced by George Martin. Take 5 was released in 1996 on the album Anthology 3. The recording features George Martin on organ. The recording does not feature John Lennon. Maxwell’s Silver Hammer was released on The Beatles’ 1969 album Abbey Road.
