The song featured in the film Jamboree.The Searchers released a version in 1964 on the album It’s The Searchers. The song has also been covered by Billy Fury.
It was part of The Beatles repertoire and was sung by George. They recorded it twice for BBC radio. One version was released in 1994 on Live At The BBC. A second version was released in 2013 on On Air- Live At The BBC Volume 2. John Lennon played the song during the Plastic Ono Band sessions in 1970. George Harrison performed the song with Carl Perkins in 1985. It was released in 1986 on the album Blue Suede Shoes: A Rockabilly Session. The recording also features Ringo Starr on drums.
