  1. Hi Guy…
I formed THE JETS-and was the one who took Tony Sheridan to Hamburg as a last moment extra guitar/singer addition to the bznd…it wasn’t as often reported Tony’s band…
Brian Epstein said if Tony had not come into the Two I’s cursing he had missed a trip to Germany with WEE WILLIE HARRIS as his passport had not been ready…and I had not felt sorry and said he could come the week after with us to Hamburg…the BEATLES would not have recorded for POLYDOR as there would have been ‘no Tony’…so he would have had no record to hear…he sent me a message via Rory Storm to say THANKS-lol…
I knew them well when THE JETS played the TOP TEN and they were at the INDRA!
    Keep cool…

    • Hi Lain,
Thanks for your message. It’s a very interesting story and an important part of British Rock History! No Tony = No Beatles. ‘My Bonnie’ is what started it all for them. I hope you’re enjoying the blog. It should bring back many memories for you. If you would like to talk more about The Jets, Tony, The Beatles, Music etc. please feel free to send me a personal email at life_in_albion@hotmail.co.uk
      Take care,
