Hey Jude was written by Paul McCartney but is credited to Lennon-McCartney. It was first recorded by The Beatles in 1968. It was recorded by Nigerian musician Ambrose Campbell in 1969. He was backed by Prince Buster’s All Stars. The lyrics were sung in Nigerian. Hey Jude was released as a single in the UK on the Melodisc label in 1969. The B-side was Ob-La-Di. Prince Buster And All Stars also released a version of Hey Jude in 1969.
