Blue Yodel.

Also known as ‘T’ For Texas and Blue Yodel No.1, this song was written by Jimmie Rodgers in 1927. It was first recorded by him the same year and was released as a single in 1928. The B-side was Away Out On The Mountain. It was the first in a series of thirteen ‘blue yodels’ written by Jimmie Rodgers between 1927 and 1933. George Harrison’s father, Harold Harrison, was a fan of Jimmie Rodgers and owned several of his singles . George Harrison’s song Rocking Chair In Hawaii is influenced by Jimmie Rodgers in general and Blue Yodel in particular.
