This song was written by John Lennon but is credited to Lennon-McCartney. It was recorded by John Lennon and Paul McCartney in 1969. It was recorded at EMI Studios and was produced by George Martin. The song was released as a single in 1969 and was credited to The Beatles.  Neither George Harrison nor Ringo Starr feature on the recording.  The B-side was Old Brown Shoe. The single reached number one on the UK Singles chart and number eight on the Billboard chart.  John Lennon sang part of the song during the Bed-In in Montreal, Canada in 1969.
