Let’s Go On Flying was written by Yoko Ono. The name was later changed to Song For John as a tribute to John Lennon. It was first recorded by Yoko Ono in 1968. The recording features John Lennon on acoustic guitar. It was produced by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. It was first released on the 1969 EP Aspen No. 7. On the EP it was titled Song For John: Let’s Go On Flying and was credited to Yoko Ono. The song was later released as a bonus track on the 1997 re-issue of John Lennon And Yoko Ono’s album Unfinished Music No. 2: Life With The Lions. On the album it was titled Song For John.
