This song was written by Bob Dylan in 1968. It was recorded by him in February 1969 and was released as a single with Drifter’s Escape on the B-side. The single reached number eighty-five on the Billboard chart and number thirty on the UK Singles chart. The song was also released on Bob Dylan’s 1969 album Nashville Skyline. Bob Dylan taught George Harrison the song in November 1968.George Harrison played the song during the Let It Be sessions, a month before Bob Dylan recorded the song. Bob Dylan and George Harrison also played the song during the New Morning Sessions in 1970.
