Eleanor Rigby was written by Paul McCartney but is credited to Lennon-McCartney. It was first recorded by The Beatles in 1966. The song was recorded by Bobbie Gentry in 1968. It was released on her album Local Gentry. The album also included versions of The Fool On The Hill and Here, There And Everywhere.
