1815 Hey Jude – Wilson Pickett (1968)

Hey Jude. 

Hey Jude was written by Paul McCartney but is credited to Lennon-McCartney. It was first recorded by The Beatles in 1968. Wilson Pickett recorded the song the same year. His version was released as a single in 1968 with Search Your Heart on the B-side.  It reached number twenty-three on the Billboard chart. In the UK the single was released in 1969 with Night Owl on the B-side. It reached number nineteen on the UK Singles chart. The song was also released on Wilson Pickett’s 1969 album Hey Jude.
