Sexy Sadie was written by John Lennon but is credited to Lennon-McCartney. A demo version recorded by The Beatles in 1968 at George Harrison’s home in Esher has never been released. The Beatles recorded the song at EMI Studios in 1968 and it was produced by George Martin. Take 6 was released on The Beatles’ 1996 album Anthology 3. Sexy Sadie was first released on The Beatles’ 1968 album The Beatles. Sexy Sadie was also released as the B-side to Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da in Jamaica in 1968. Ringo Starr mentions the song in his 1973 song Devil Woman. George Harrison mentions the song in his 1974 song Simply Shady.
