This song was written by Paul McCartney but is credited to Lennon-McCartney. It was recorded at EMI Studios in 1968 and was produced by George Martin. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are the only members of The Beatles to feature on the recording. Take 4 was released on The Beatles’ 1996 album Anthology 3. Why Don’t We Do It In The Road? was first released on The Beatles’ 1968 album The Beatles. The song was also released on an EP in Thailand in 1968. The EP also included Back In The U.S.S.R and Don’t Pass Me By. Paul McCartney performed the song live with Neil Young at The Desert Trip in 2016.
