The Bedrocks.

Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da was written by Paul McCartney but is credited to Lennon-McCartney. It was first recorded by The Beatles in 1968. The Bedrocks recorded the song the same year. Their version was recorded at EMI Studios and was produced by Norman Smith. It was released as a single in 1968 with Lucy on the B-side. The single reached number twenty on the UK Singles chart. The Bedrocks’ version of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da was Paul McCartney’s favourite cover version of the song.
