This song was written by George Harrison in 1968. A demo version recorded by The Beatles at George Harrison’s home in Esher has never been released. The song was recorded by Jackie Lomax in 1968. It was recorded at EMI Studios and Trident Studios in London and was produced by George Harrison. The recording features George Harrison and Eric Clapton on guitar, Paul McCartney on bass, Nicky Hopkins on piano and Ringo Starr on drums. Jackie Lomax was signed to The Beatles’ record label Apple and had previously been a member of the Merseybeat group The Undertakers. Sour Milk Sea was released as a single with The Eagle Laughs At You on the B-side. It was the third single released on the Apple label.
