1700 Sabre Dance – Love Sculpture (1968)

Sabre Dance was written by Aram Khachaturian for the 1942 ballet Gayane. The song was first recorded by Oscar Levant in 1948. Since then it has been recorded by Woody Herman, Victor Young, and Ted Heath. Love Sculpture recorded the song in 1968. Their version was arranged by Dave Edmunds. It was released as a single in 1968 with Think Of Love on the B-side. It reached number five on the UK Singles chart. The Beatles played the song during the Let It Be session in 1969.
