1563 I Can See For Miles – The Who (1967)

This song was written by Pete Townshend in 1966. It was first recorded by The Who in 1967. It was released on their album The Who Sell Out. It was also released as a single with Someone’s Coming on the B-side. In America the B-side was Mary Anne With The Shaky Hand. The single reached number ten on the UK Singles chart and nine on the Billboard chart. A review of the song inspired Paul McCartney to write Helter Skelter.
