Beatle-Views.

This spoken word album was recorded during The Beatles’ tour of America in August 1966. It is narrated by American DJ Ken Douglas and is made up of interviews and press conferences with The Beatles. The album includes extracts from The Beatles’ press conference in Chicago on 11 August 1966. The album also includes interviews with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, John Lennon, George Harrison and Brian Epstein carried out by DJs Jerry Leighton, Jim Stagg and Ken Douglas. The recording includes Ken Douglas’ live report from The Beatles’ concert in Cleveland on 14 August 1966 during which a snippet of I Feel Fine can be heard in the background.  Ken Douglas’ live report from The Beatles’ concert in Memphis on 19 August 1966 is also included. The instrumental music used is by The Hollyridge Strings. The album also includes interviews with DJ Jim Stagg who was on all three of The Beatles’ American tours. The album was released on the Ring Around The Pops label in 1966.
