This song was written by Paul McCartney but is credited to Lennon-McCartney. It was first recorded by The Beatles in 1966. It was recorded at EMI Studios and was produced by George Martin. John Lennon and George Harrison do not feature on the recording. The song was first released on The Beatles’ 1966 album Revolver. The song was also released on the French EP Yellow Submarine. The EP also included Eleanor Rigby and Good Day Sunshine. Paul McCartney re-recorded the song in 1984 for his album Give My Regards To Broad Street. The song was used in the movie of the same name starring Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. The song has also been recorded by Cilla Black, The Lettermen, and Chet Atkins among others.
