This song was written by Paul McCartney but is credited to Lennon-McCartney. It was first recorded by The Beatles in 1966. It was recorded at EMI Studios and was produced by George Martin.  An edit of Take 7 and Take 13 was released in 1996 on the Real Love single. The song was released on The Beatles’ 1966 album Revolver. The song was released as a single in India in 1966. The B-side was Good Day Sunshine. Paul McCartney re-recorded the song for his 1984 album Give My Regards To Broad Street. The song appears in the movie of the same name. The song was part of Paul McCartney’s repertoire and he performed it when he appeared on MTV Unplugged in 1991. That version was released on the album Unplugged (The Official Bootleg). Other live versions have been released on Paul Is Live (1993), Back In The U.S. (2002), and Back In The World (2003). Merseybeat group The Fourmost recorded the song in 1966 and released it as a single. George Martin recorded an instrumental version of the song in 1966. It was released on his album George Martin Instrumentally Salutes The Beatle Girls. A version recorded by Céline Dion was produced by George Martin and released on the 1998 album In My Life. Liverpudlian singer Cilla Black recorded the song in 1993 for her album Through The Years. The song has also been recorded by John Denver, Petula Clark, and Johnny Mathis among others.
