This song was written and recorded by Bob Dylan in 1966. It was released on his 1966 album Blonde On Blonde. It was released as a single with Obviously 5 Believers on the B-side. It reached number thirty-three on the Billboard chart. The single was not released in the UK. Manfred Mann, with Klaus Voormann on bass, recorded the song in 1966 and released it as a single. The song has also been recorded by  Jonathan King, Richie Havens, and Joe Cocker among others. Bob Dylan performed the song live at The Concert For Bangladesh in 1971. The band featured George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Klaus Voormann, Billy Preston and Eric Clapton among others. That version was released on the 1971 album The Concert For Bangladesh.
