1338 Secondhand – Wilfrid Brambell (1963)

This song was written by Mitch Revely in 1963 and was recorded by comedian Wilfrid Brambell. It was released as his debut single with Ragtime Ragabone Man on the B-side. Wilfrid Brambell played the part of Albert Steptoe in the BBC comedy Steptoe And Son from 1962 to 1974. Wilfrid Brambell also recorded with Harry H. Corbett (who played Harold in the show). Wilfrid Brambell played Paul’s Grandfather, John McCartney, in The Beatles’ 1964 movie A Hard Day’s Night.
