Richard Adler and Robert Allen wrote this song in 1958. It was first recorded by Doris Day. The Shirelles covered the song in 1962. It was released as a single with I Don’t Think So on the B-Side. It reached number nineteen on the Billboard chart in 1963. The single was released in the UK in 1963. Merseybeat group The Undertakers recorded the song in 1963 and released it as their debut single. The song was part of the repertoire of Liverpudlian singer Beryl Marsden. She performed the song live at The Cavern Club in 1963 and that version was released on the various artist album At The Cavern in 1964.
