This song was written by Johnny Devlin in 1964. According to Johnny Devlin, Paul McCartney helped re-write the song during The Beatles’ 1964 tour of New Zealand and Australia. Johnny Devlin was one of the support acts on the tour. Won’t You Be My Baby was recorded by Johnny Devlin and The Devils in 1965. It was released as a single in Australia and New Zeland with Walk Your Cat on the B-side.
