This song was written by Donovan Leitch and is about folksinger Joan Baez. It was first recorded by Donovan in 1965. It was released as a single with Hey Gyp (Dig The Slowness) on the B-side. It went to number thirty on the UK Singles chart. In America it was released as the B-side to ToTry For The Sun in 1966. The UK single was on John  Lennon’s 1965 jukebox. The song has also been recorded by Joan Baez.
