This song was written by Smokey Robinson and Pete Moore. It was first recorded by The Miracles in 1965. It was released as a single with All That’s Good on the B-side. It reached number sixteen on the Billboard chart and number four on the R&B chart. The song has also been recorded by Edwin Starr, and Ella Fitzgerald among others. The song inspired the use of the phrase “I’m Crying” in The Beatles’ 1967 song I Am The Walrus.
