This song was written by Will E. Haines, Jimmy Harper, and Tommy Connor in 1938. It was recorded by Gracie Fields in 1938 and released as a single. The B-side was Now It Can Be Told. The song was later released as the B-side to Sally in 1980. Paul McCartney performed Sally live during soundcheck at Wembley in 1990. At the end of the song he sings a line from The Biggest Aspidistra In The World. Paul McCartney’s version of Sally was released on the 1990 album Tripping The Live Fantastic.
