Takes 24 and 25 were released on the album Anthology 1 in 1995. The song was first released in 1964 on the album Beatles For Sale. In America it was released as a single with I Don’t Want To Spoil The Party on the B-side. It reached number one on the Billboard chart. Paul McCartney has performed the song live. Merseybeat group Ian & The Zodiacs recorded the song in 1965 for their album Gear Again – 12 Hits. Billy Preston recorded the song in 1965 for his album Early Hits Of 1965. The song has also been recorded by Alma Cogan and Mary Wells among others.
