This song was written by John Lennon but is credited to Lennon-McCartney. It was written for Tommy Quickly but he never recorded it. It was first recorded by The Beatles in 1964. It was recorded at EMI Studios and was produced by George Martin. The track features George Martin on piano. A demo version featuring Jimmie Nicol on drums was released in 1995 on the album Anthology 1. Take 2 was also released on Anthology 1. No Reply was first released in 1964 on the album Beatles For Sale. The song was also released as a single in Germany and Japan in 1965 with Eight Days A Week on the B-side. George Martin recorded the song in 1965 and it was released on his album George Martin Scores.
