Alice In Wonderland.

This spoken word double album was recorded in 1958. It was an adaptation of the novel Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. The story is narrated by Margaretta Scott and features Jane Asher as Alice. The recording was produced by Douglas Cleverdon and was released in 1958 on the Argo Records label. Two EPs were released from the album in 1963. A follow-up album, Through The Looking Glass, was released in 1959. It was an adaptation of the Lewis Carroll novel Through The Looking-Glass. It also featured Jane Asher as Alice. One EP was released from the album in 1963. Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass were two of John Lennon’s favourite novels. Paul McCartney dated Jane Asher during the 1960s.
