It was released on the album A Hard Day’s Night in 1964. In the UK it was released as the B-side to A Hard Day’s Night. The single reached number one on the UK Singles chart. Things We Said Today was part of The Beatles’ repertoire. They also recorded the song for BBC Radio and one version was released in 1994 on the album Live At The BBC. The song was part of Paul McCartney’s repertoire and a version recorded in 1989 was released in 1990 on the album Tripping The Live Fantastic. He performed the song live during his appearance on MTV Unplugged in 1991. That version was released in 1993 on the single Biker Like An Icon. The song has also been recorded by Sonny Curtis, Cliff Richard, and Chet Atkins among others.
