Tony Sheridan recorded the song in 1961. He was backed by The Beatles. It was recorded at the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle in Hamburg, Germany in June 1961 and was produced by Bert Kaempfert. It was first released on the German album The Beatles’ First in 1964. It was also released as the B-side to Ain’t She Sweet in Germany and the UK. In America it was released as the B-side to Sweet Georgia Brown.
