My Girl.

This song was written by Smokey Robinson and Ronald White in 1964. It was first recorded by The Temptations and released as a single. The song was covered by Otis Redding in 1965. That version was released as a single with Down In The Valley on the B-side.  It reached number eleven on the UK Singles chart. The single was not released in America. The single was on John Lennon’s 1965 jukebox and George Harrison’s 1966 jukebox. John Lennon recorded the song on a private tape in 1979. Billy Preston recorded the song in 1965 for his album The Apple Of Their Eye. The song has also been recorded by The Mamas And The Papas, The Rolling Stones, and Stevie Wonder among others.
