I Want To Hold Your Hand.

This song was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. It was first recorded by The Beatles in 1963. It was recorded at EMI Studios and produced by George Martin. It was released as a single with This Boy on the B-side. It went to number one on the UK Singles chart. In America it was released with I Saw Her Standing There on the B-side and went to number one on the Billboard chart. The song was part of The Beatles’ repertoire. A live version recorded for The Morecambe And Wise Show in 1963 was released in 1995 on the album Anthology 1. The Beatles also recorded the song for BBC Radio and one version was released in 2013 on the album On Air : Live At The BBC Volume 2. A second version was released on the album The Beatles Bootleg Recordings 1963 in 2013. The Beatles re-recorded the vocals with German lyrics and that version was released as  Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand in 1964. An edit of the studio version and a live version recorded at the Hollywood Bowl in 1964 was released on The Beatles’ 2006 album Love. The complete live version recorded at Hollywood Bowl was released on the 2016 album Live at the Hollywood Bowl. George Martin and His Orchestra recorded the song in 1964 and it was released on the album Off The Beatle Track. Merseybeat group Denny Seyton And The Sabres covered the song in 1964 for their album It’s The Gear (14 Hits). The song has also been recorded by Petula Clark, Duke Ellington, and Al Green among others.
