This song was written by Don Everly and was recorded by The Everly Brothers in 1960. It was released as the B-side to Lucille. In America So Sad was the A-side with Lucille on the B-side. It reached number seven in the US but did better in the UK, reaching number four. George Harrison owned a copy of the single. He wrote down the lyrics to this song and it became part of The Beatles repertoire.
